Vestavia West Food Bags- Over 1,200 Bags Delivered!

As the school year comes to a close we have made our last delivery of weekend food bags for families in need at Vestavia West Elementary. We thank you for all of your support throughout the year! This program would not be possible without our partnership with the school counselors from West. They have written us to offer their thanks. You can read their note below!

Dear friends, 

We want to extend our heartfelt appreciation to everyone at Southminster Presbyterian Church for your incredible support of our students through the Backpack Food Program. Close to 40 kids benefit from your church's generosity each Friday and can go into the weekend assured that they will have food to eat while they are away from school. 

We know that this weekly delivery is a large undertaking. It adds up to over 1,200 bags of food for the school year! This takes so many people giving of their time and resources to make this happen. Please know that your commitment has a real and lasting impact on the lives of our students and their families! 

Thank you for showing up week after week with care and compassion. We are so grateful for your partnership!
