About Our Church
Southminster is a growing community of the Presbyterian Church (USA). As a congregation of about 300 active members, with a healthy mix of generations, we offer gifts of deep community, welcome, and service.
Community
We come to know the love of God through life together. Through shared worship, meals, classes, small groups and service together, we create a community where each person finds a place to belong. We see faith as a lifelong journey of discovery and growth, a journey that is richer when shared.
Welcome
We welcome others just as we have been welcomed in Christ. In this community, we come from different walks of life and religious backgrounds. We bring our questions, doubts and wondering. We embrace diverse theological views and ways of living out our Christian faith, yet are united in our common commitment to follow the way of Christ.
Service
We seek to love our neighbors through hands-on service and generous giving. We actively support local and global mission partners, with a particular emphasis on ministries that address hunger, homelessness, and the root causes of poverty.
