We are glad you have found your way to Southminster!

We look forward to welcoming you when you have the opportunity to visit in person! Joining us for worship on Sunday mornings is a great way to begin getting to know our community.

There are so many ways for you to be involved with the life of our church – worship, fellowship, small groups and classes, volunteer service and more. We hope you explore opportunities for ministry and connection that you can find elsewhere on this site.

You are welcome here at Southminster! We would love for you to join us.

Frequently Asked Questions

What should I expect?

We offer two worship services—one at 8:15 a.m. and another at 10:30 a.m. The second service includes music by the Chancel Choir and a Children’s Message.

All Sunday worship services are also live-streamed on our YouTube page, and can be found on the worship online page of our website.

During the school year, Sunday School for all ages begins at 9:15 a.m. There are classes for children and youth by age, and three different classes for adults.

Where do I enter the building?

Our building can be entered through the Sanctuary doors or through the double doors under the Grace Hall portico. Both entrances are handicap accessible.

What should I wear when I visit?

For the service, you will see all manner of attire, from jeans to suits, and slacks to “Sunday dresses". Please don’t worry too much about what to wear. We’ll be glad to see you!

May a visitor take communion?

All are invited and welcome to the Table. We celebrate holy communion in each Sunday worship service; our communion elements are gluten free.

Are small children welcome in worship?

Children and infants are always welcome in worship. We also provide a nursery for children and infants through age 4, located in room 213 and staffed by caring, experienced workers.

What should I do if I have more questions?

Our Co-Pastors Tom Bryson and Leanne Pearce Reed would love to connect with you. If you are seeking a church home or have questions, email Tom or Leanne or call at 205-822-1124.
