Sunday School Classes for all Ages Begin August 10th!

As the new school year kicks off, we hope you will join us for Sunday school, and discover one of the many ways you can grow in your faith at Southminster! Classes are held from 9:15am-10:15am on Sunday mornings. Read on to see all the offerings for August!

Children and Youth

Preschool Class (Infant-4K)

In this class children are introduced to many of our beloved Bible stories, and experience the stories through music and play! Children hear each story for multiple weeks to help increase their understanding. Additionally children learn that each one of them is a beloved child of God! It's never to early to experience God's love! The class will begin with the story of creation!

Wee Believers Class (K-5th)

In this class students hear each story four times to really increase their understanding! Each week students experience the story through one of four distinct rotations: art and spiritual practices, mission and games, cooking and science, and drama and storytelling! This year they will begin with the story of creation!

Youth (6th-12th)

Each Sunday youth gather in Robert's office to discuss that week's scripture, and dive in to how it might be relevant to our lives today! Additionally youth have time to fellowship and grow their relationships with God and one another!

Adults

Seekers Class- Church Conference Room

The Seekers will begin their year with a video series from Work of the People entitled, A Hidden Wholeness. Together the group will explore the themes of hospitality, grace, and hope as pathways to wholeness in our lives and communities.

Grace Class- Grace Hall Room 3 and via Zoom

Each week the Grace Class uses Feasting on the Word to study and explore that week's lectionary passage. Through lively discussion and sharing of questions the group grows in their faith together as they explore the Bible! This class is hybrid, with a Zoom option each week.

Joyous Soulos

The Joyous Soulos will kick off their year with a study of Adam Hamilton's The Way. Through this book and video study, together the class will retrace the life and ministry of Jesus.
