"At the River": Movie, Dinner and Discussion

On Sunday, April 6th, at 3 PM, Southminster will hold the viewing of At The River, a documentary of the civil rights movement. This event is hosted by the Presbytery of Sheppards and Lapsley and the Anti-Racism Committee. The documentary will be viewed in Grace Hall followed by a dinner and conversation with the director, Carolyn Crowder. The cost for the meal will be $10 and reservations can be made with Betsy in the office.

We are excited to have Carolyn Crowder with us in person to tell of her experiences making the documentary and the insight she gained from it. She interviewed more than 35 ministers and their families over a period of 5 years to compile their stories. In all, this important work took over seven years to complete.
