"Welcome one another, as Christ has welcomed you, for the glory of God." ~Romans 15:7
In the ministry and the mission of the church we seek to reflect the welcoming grace of Jesus Christ our Lord, Head of the Church. Our congregation of approximately 500 members is a part of the Presbytery of Sheppards and Lapsley, the Synod of Living Waters, and the Presbyterian Church (U.S.A.). In connection with the larger church we seek to proclaim the gospel in word and deed in our community and throughout the world. In the life of Southminster, may you experience the welcoming grace of Jesus Christ.
ORDINARY TIME is divided into two periods (between Epiphany and Lent, and again following Pentecost until Advent) when the focus of the Christian year is how God, through Christ, enters our daily lives calling us to trust, obey, and grow in the faith. Each period of Ordinary Time begins and ends with a festival. A reminder of growth and new life in Christ, green is the liturgical color of this season.
