Southminster Presbyterian Church is a congregation of the Presbyterian Church in the United States of America (The PC(USA)).
As such, we stand in the long line of the Protestant Reformation, eager and open to seeing what God's Word--known in the person of Christ, the pages of scripture, and the continuing work of the Holy Spirit--is up to in our particular time and place.
Our church is governed by a two part constitution--the Book of Order and the Book of Confessions. The former gives guidance for our life together as a church and the latter gives a theological framework for who we believe God is and what we believe God calls us to be and do. You can find more about these items and about our denomination and Presbytery on our Resources page.
Southminster lives into that call in a variety of ways. Through ministries of worship, pastoral care, outreach, mission, and education, we seek to welcome all with the same love that God shows us. As a congregation of roughly 386 members, with a healthy mix of generations, we offer gifts of deep community, hospitality, and friendship. We are active in the community through our Day School and Foundation and are always seeking to be open to new things God is doing within our midst as we are guided by the lessons and traditions of the past.
To really learn "who we are", please come spend time with us! Worship is the central and most frequent of our gathering times, but there are plenty of other ways to connect with God and with others at Southminster.
