Southminster Presbyterian Church held a “Love Your Neighbor Yard Sale”. Church members donated hundreds of items to sell in an effort to raise money for the Presbyterian Home for Children in Talladega. The sale also provided an opportunity for the church to connect with and build relationships with people in the community, as hundreds of shoppers browsed a myriad of wares. The event, hosted by the church’s Outreach Ministry Unit, raised over $1,500. The Presbyterian Home for Children provides many services, which include secure dwellings for homeless children and caregivers, transition services to adult living, and educational services.

VBS 2016:  What a wonderful time we had at Vacation Bible School this summer when 80 children came together from the community, Church and Day School to "Catch the Wave of God's Amazing Love"!  Art, drama, music, mission projects, science, Bible storytellers, waterslides, and Bruster's Ice Cream were all part of the fun for our participants!  A huge thank-you to all of our amazing volunteers for making this week a reality. Southminster is the BEST!!!
