PRESBYTERIAN WOMEN
The purpose of Presbyterian Women is to “nurture our faith through prayer and Bible study, to support the mission of the church worldwide, to work for justice and peace, and to build an inclusive, caring community of women that strengthens the Presbyterian Church, (U.S.A.) and witnesses to the promise of God’s kingdom.”
Mission is our focus – we actively participate in various PW mission ministries as well as special mission projects of our congregation. Examples include preparing Health and School Kits when requested; donating budgeted and personal funds to the Presbyterian Home for Children, local shelters, our missionaries and seminary; and participating in our denominational PW Thank and Birthday Offerings.
Southminster’s two Circles meet at 10:00 a.m. at the Church on second Tuesday’s, September through May. All women are invited and encouraged to join a Circle. If someone is interested in being a part of an evening Circle, please tell Charlotte Worsham. We also invite all Southminster women to enjoy our annual luncheon, held on a March Sunday following worship.
