Southminster has formed a disaster response team to coordinate activities and communication related to disaster response in our area. We are in the process of generating an email list for individuals to be notified about volunteer opportunities. If you are interested in volunteering for "low" physical activity opportunities, email Sue Barnett at
suebcrazy@yahoo.com. If you are interested in volunteering for "high" physical activity, email Mark Hopkins at
jshceh@aol.com. Volunteer activities arise very quickly and cannot necessarily be planned out in advance. This list will help us notify people who have the opportunity to help with the need arises.
We are also looking for volunteers to "adopt" individual famlies and help them with immediate needs. We have six families. If you are interested in this, contact Mark at
